Chennai, May 19 (tamilnaducentral) : Rajinikanth who is meeting his fans for the last day today has dropped a political bomb saying that the political system needs a revamp, possibly hinting at his foray into politics anytime soon.
Calling himself a hardcore Tamilian who has lived in Tamil Nadu for 44 years, the Superstar has asked his fans to be ready for the war. “Just like you, I have responsibilities and work. But,when the ultimate war comes, we’ll see”, added the actor.
Earlier, BJP leader Subramanian Swamy has taken a jibe at Rajinikanth on reports of his likely entry into politics. Swamy called him uneducated and an outsider in the state. Swamy said that Rajinikanth’s on-screen acting ability cannot necessarily translate to trying his luck in politics. Swamy criticised Rajinikanth’s flip-flop politics in the past when he lent support to Dravidian majors alternately and learnt politics the hard way, like Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan did.
At the fan meet in Raghavendra Kalyana Mandapam in the city, the Superstar called DMK working president MK Stalin as good admin and PMK leader Anbumani Ramadoss as a good orator. He refrained from taking questions on Sri Lankan Tamils and politics. Rajinikanth, now 66 years old advised his fans to give up all vices and take care of their families.
Earlier, BJP national secretary H Raja had said Mr. Rajinikanth is a popular personality and welcomed him to join the saffron party.
