Rajinikanth has nothing in his head : Markandey Katju

Chennai, May18 (tamilnaducentral): Superstar Rajinikanth who is meeting his fans after eight years and holding photo sessions with select fans albeit with government ID documents at Raghavendra Kalyana Mandapam in the city has received flak from a section of media on his dilly-dallying tactics to enter politics. The latest scathing attack on him comes from Markandey Katju, former Supreme Court Judge and former Chief Justice of the Madras High Court.

Rajinikanth during the course of fans’ meet over the past few days, not falling out of his usual style said that he would enter politics, if God is willing. He took a strong stand on people who remain in politics for monetary gain and termed his political dabbling in the past as ‘accident’.

Superstar has been grabbing headlines over the past few days with the comments he passes at the meet with regard to politics. His fans have expressed that it is right time for him to enter politics with the charismatic personalities Jayalalithaa and Karunanidhi out of action.

Rajinikanth who appears to have lost his old magic after films like Bashaa and Padaiyappa has not had a good outing post that. With his latest outings Linga and Kabalai having turned out to be duds, he might be considering to enter politics, say political observers.

Katju has posted on his social media page that he has a high opinion of south Indians but cannot understand their stupid deification and idolisation of film stars. Not stopping with that,Katju threw a sharp attack on Rajinikanth thus: What is there in Rajinikanth? Has he got any solutions to problems of poverty, unemployment, malnourishment, lack of healthcare etc? I do not think he has any. Then why do people want him to enter politics ? Like Amitabh Bachchan, Rajinikanth has nothing in his head.

When fans of Rajinikanth are holding high expectations over their icon to enter politics, Justice Katju’s strong comments on Rajinikanth has not gone down well with his fans.

Tailpiece: Rumors abound that Rajinikanth might float a new political party with the backing of Congress leader P Chidambaram or he might take a ride along with BJP. A picture of lotus on the stage backdrop at Raghavendra Mandapam where he is seeing his fans spice up the rumour mills.
