Chennai, Dec 31 (tamilnaducentral): Ramkumar and Prabhu, two sons of late Sivaji Ganesan turned up at Poes Garden today to meet Sasikala. Sivaji Ganesan’s daughter Shanthi’s daughter is married to foster son of Jayalalithaa. Disowned foster son Sudhakaran was denied entry to Apollo Hospital but was seen standing next to Sasikala at the funeral.
The marriage of Satyavathi and Sudhakaran was the big fat wedding of Tamil Nadu. Sasikala and Jayalalithaa were photographed wearing gold ornaments. Sudhakaran was banished from the Veda Nilayam after he allegedly vanished with several crores of gold and money. This happened when his aunt Sasikala and Jayalalithaa who adopted him were jailed in the DA case.
Sudhakaran was running JJTV, a cable outfit and also floated a Chinna MGR Narpani Mandram and took out rallies. After Jayalalithaa came out on August 25, 1996, she announced that her foster son was disowned. Sudhakaran announced that was his Independence Day. In 2001, he launched a tirade against Jayalalithaa and was promptly booked for carrying unlicensed firearms and possessing heroin.
Since then relations between Sivaji family and Jayalalithaa were strained. S. S. Thirunavukkarasu, Nainar Nagendran and Dalavai Sundaram represented the AIADMK at the actor’s funeral but not Jayalalithaa. Sudhakaran had alleged that Jayalalithaa had wrecked revenge on Sivaji by making him marry his granddaughter. Every time Sivaji walked into the sets, Jayalalithaa had to stand up, he said. Old timers say that she never did that even for MGR.
Jayalalithaa however turned up for Sivaji Ganesan’s wife’s funeral. Sasikala’s nephew Vivek’s wedding in Vanagaram saw Prabhu at the function. Sasikala and Sivaji clan are from Thevar caste is yet another fact. The building of a mall at where Shanthi theatre stood in Chennai is bogged in some troubles, say sources. The visit could be to sort out this issue , adds the source as Sudhakaran is back in limelight in the Mannargudi family and in Poes Garden.
